Domaine Patrick Javillier was founded in 1945 by Raymond Javillier, with Patrick taking the reins in 1974. Today, Patrick and his daughter Marion stand among the most respected and accomplished viticulteurs in the entire Côte d'Or, known for their unwavering commitment to quality and their respect for terroir. The Javillier philosophy centers around the belief that extended élevage on lees is crucial to enhance flavor and ensuring the long-term evolution of their wines. Javillier works with solids, and their use of the revered Vaslin press for their white wines, ensuring gentle extraction and preserving purity.

Most of their white wines undergo a year-long maturation in barrel before being transferred to tank to continue their development on fine lees. This dual approach of barrel and tank élevage adds layers of complexity and depth to the wines, resulting in offerings that are as poised and refined as they are age-worthy. Both in the vineyard and the cellar, the Javillier family are perfectionists. The results are an extraordinary collection of wines that capture the essence of Meursault. Whilst this is predominantly a white wine Domaine they are a dab hand with their beautifully refined reds consistently producing wines of exceptional quality and character.
