Comte de Malet de Roquefort
Domaines Comte de Malet de Roquefort is a group of 7 wine-producing estates located in renowned appellations, exceptional terroirs of the Bordeaux Right Bank. Based in the heart of Saint-Émilion since 1705, the Malet Roquefort family is marked by a long history linked to the destiny of Château la Gaffelière, a Grand cru of Saint-Émilion. Comtesse de Malet Roquefort was born in 2012, when the family decided to share their love for the wines of the Right Bank with a wider array of wine lovers. Produced by the same team as Château La Gaffelière, Comtesse de Malet Roquefort is made from a strict selection of grapes from family properties and partners. This wine is a gateway to the world of Domaines Comte de Malet Roquefort, renowned for finesse and elegance. The Chateau Chapelle d’Aleinor is from a vineyard stretching over the slopes which abut Saint-Émilion. In 1999 Alexandre de Malet Roquefort bought Château Armens. With a desire to lift the personality of this Grand Cru, there has been massive investment in the 25- hectare vineyard, major investments to modernize winemaking techniques and fine tune the maturation.
