Paul Benoit worked various stages through the Jura region prior to setting up his own vineyard in the town of Pupillin in 1976. From 3 hectares on different terroirs and as opportunities arose, the vineyards expanded to complete the range of wines offered today. In 2000 Christophe Benoit joined the Domaine after having completed an oeno viti training in Beaune where he worked at the renowned Chassagne-Montrachet producer Guy Amiot. The vineyard has since grown by five and half hectares. The Domaine now totals nine hectares and offers the unique range of wines that the Jura and its terroirs are most famous. The Vin Jaune made from the Savagnin is fermented prior to the wine being entrusted to nature for a period of 6 years and the flor. This unique aging process under veil brings to the wine complex aromas of nuts, hazelnuts, curry, almonds and so much more …. it is bottled in the distinctive 620 ml Clavelin bottle. Pair with Comté, white meats and fish in cream, escargot and any other exotic dishes.
