The Durand brothers, Éric and Joël, took the reins of Domaine Durand in 1991, cultivating a legacy of excellence in the heart of the Northern Rhône, particularly in the regions of Châteaubourg and Glun. Specialising in Syrah, the Domaine spans 20 hectares across the renowned appellations of St-Joseph, St-Peray, and Cornas, with vines planted on steep, rocky hillsides. Committed to organic practices, every aspect of vineyard work is meticulously carried out by hand, ensuring optimal expression of these granitic soils. The modern, impeccably clean winery is designed for precision winemaking, with 100% de-stemming, daily cap-punching, and pumping-over. The wines undergo a 12-month élevage in a mix of 12 months in 20% new 228 and 600 litre oak and cement. Resulting in beautifully crafted, fruit-forward wines that remain fresh, bright, and full of the signature spice that defines the best of the Northern Rhône. These wines offer a perfect balance of density and elegance, showcasing the Durand brothers’ dedication to both tradition and innovation.
