Château Rolland-Maillet

In the 1920s, Michel Rolland’s family chose to implement its vineyard at the frontier of Pomerol’s great terroirs, in “Maillet” in the legendary Saint-Emilion appellation. The 3.35 ha vineyard, composed of 45-year-old vines, extends on the beautiful terroirs of the “Corbin” area. Château Rolland-Maillet’s soils are composed of limestone, clay and gravel, they are farmed using sustainable methods. The planting comprises of 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc. The wine benefits from all the experience and know-how of Michel Rolland and Benoit Prévôt. It expresses the typicity of Saint-Emilion with its deep ruby color, intense and clean, with fresh red fruit aromas, spicy cedar and cocoa notes. Given cellar time, Château Rolland Maillet takes on a suave character and offers a bouquet of undergrowth, truffle and fine herbs.
