François Legros is the quietly spoken and affable native of Nuits-St-George turning out luscious and complex Burgundy. The Domaine commenced in 1988, a result of parcels handed down from Francois’ parents and his uncle.  In 1999 Francois added the Saint Aubin vineyards of his father-in-law which included two hectares of chardonnay. The Domaine farms its vineyards organically, there is a strict berry by berry selection at harvest, the fruit is 100% de-stemmed, winemaking is traditional with 25% new oak from four different coopers. The appellations are characterised accurately and with transparency, they also represent excellent value.
